We build for operators: clinic managers, quality leads, franchise owners, anyone who gets asked “how do we do this again?” a few times a week. The team is small, so everyone works close to customers and hears what happens after we ship.
Roles here are broad. You own a whole problem rather than a slice of one, and you usually own how it works once it is live.
We write things down.
It would be odd to sell a documentation tool and run the company out of people’s heads. Three things that follow from that.
Write it down first
Most work here starts as writing — a short design note, a spec, a comment explaining why something is the way it is. It is easier to disagree with a paragraph than with a half-built feature, and it means the reasoning is still there in six months.
We use what we build
Our onboarding, releases and support processes all live in Essoflo. When something in the product is annoying, we run into it before customers do.
Nobody is the only one who knows
If something only works while one person is around, we treat that as a problem to fix. Work gets handed over in a form the next person can read, which is the same thing we ask customers to do.
United States, remote.
Roles are open to candidates anywhere in the US, and nobody is asked to relocate.
Four steps.
The same process for every role, and we tell you where you stand at each stage.
- 1
A first conversation
Thirty minutes on what you are looking for and what the role involves.
- 2
Work you have done
We go through something you built or ran in detail: the decisions, the trade-offs, what you would change.
- 3
A working session
A short exercise or a session on a real problem, scoped and agreed in advance so you know what you are walking into.
- 4
References and a decision
We talk to people you have worked with, and we come back to you either way.
What the work looks like.
These are the roles we have hired for most recently. Applications are closed on all of them. They are here so you can see what the work involves. To ask about a role or how we hire, email support@essoflo.com.
