What you would do
- Evaluations: taking a prospect’s existing procedure — usually a Word file, a spreadsheet and someone who remembers the rest — and building it in Essoflo so they evaluate their own work rather than a sample.
- Security and privacy review: answering the questionnaire, explaining how tenant isolation, access control and data retention work, and saying so plainly when we do not support something yet.
- Migration questions: what comes across cleanly from their current tool, what does not, and what moving will take.
- Being the technical voice in the room, including telling a prospect when Essoflo is not the right fit.
What we look for
- Experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering or implementation for a B2B product, with real customer-facing time.
- Enough technical depth to be credible on authentication, permissions, data models and integrations, and clear about where your limits are.
- You are comfortable in front of skeptical people, including when a demo goes wrong.
- You can help the customer decide and help us decide, at the same time.
Nice to have
- Run technical evaluations against an incumbent, or built proofs of concept under time pressure.
- Answered SOC 2, HIPAA or similar reviews from the vendor side.
Optional. Not having these would not rule anyone out.
The first ninety days
By ninety days you would be leading technical evaluations on your own and would have taken at least one security review from blocker to closed deal.
How we hire
- 1A thirty-minute conversation about the role and what you are looking for.
- 2A longer conversation about work you have done.
- 3A short exercise or working session, scoped and agreed in advance.
- 4References, and a decision either way.
